473.0. "Match Rigging" by NEWOA::HANGER_M () Wed Mar 15 1995 15:56

I have searched through the notes for the clubs of the individuals concerned but
can find no updates on the preceedings.

I also thought it would be interesting to put nominees for other suspects in
here aswell.

For instance, I believe the Swindon back four need investigating straight away.

473.1Soton look dodgy...AYOV27::FW_TEMP01John Hussey - Dunure's greatWed Mar 15 1995 16:243
How about Matt Le Tissier & Alan Ball. Afterall, Ballsy (am I allowed to
say that?) admits he just gives the nod & then Matt scores a 40 yard
screamer in the last minute. Well dodgy to me... ;-)
473.2And of course, more negative coverage in the StateesLJSRV2::KNIPSTEINWed Mar 15 1995 16:3614
    Well, Premier League football has finally made the Boston Globe...

    Associated Press story, headline reads -

    	"No letup in Premier soccer scandal"

    And of course the story is a sidebar to a piece on US CUP '95 and the
    US playing Nigeria at Foxboro stadium. Here in the states, it seems
    like we can't get any good coverage of soccer without there being an
    associated negative story.

    :-(

    Nah, Twaddle got out of that particular rumour by missing a penalty at
    Wolves in the cup.

    Unless of course he was given an unsolicited gift beforehand ;^)

    Can someone please rather urgently deny the rumour that ITV are
    removing John 'Fash for Cash' Fashunu from his presenters role on
    Gladiators and instead slotting him as host of prime-time-light-
    entertainment show 'You Bet!'. This flash of inspiration from ITV
    bosses apparently kicks off with a Fashunu challenge whereby he
    is going to elbow 30 defenders in less than a minute. This sort of
    thing only further throws Football into sleaze and I refuse to keep
    quiet about it..........unless......erm....money to be forwarded to...

It's simple, really. You take two from the top row, one from the middle,
and any other 3.

You need either;

a) An account with enough privs to change your username
or
b) A system manager who's enough of a laugh to change your username when he
   feels like it.
or
c) A PC that's so stupid, it asks you what you want as a username whenever
  you use pathworks conference facility.

Guess which one I've got....

Also Hans van Breukelen, it seems money disappeard with transfers of
these players to Nottingham Forest. Mr. Clough will probably get interviewed
aswell.
