393.0. "Info on Orlando games" by OASS::HEARSE::Burden_d (Keep Cool with Coolidge) Mon Jun 13 1994 17:08

We are going to the game on Sunday at the Citrus Bowl and have seats behind
one of the goals. Does anyone have a map of the stadium and the surrounding
area? We have hotel reservations at a Holiday Inn off I-4 and was wondering
if there will be shuttle busses on Sunday.

Anyone else going to the game on Sunday? Any national colors we should or
shouldn't wear??

Thanks
Dave

I will be arriving in Orlando on Tuesday for two weeks holiday,is
there any problems getting a place to stay at a reasonable price.
I know it is a bit late in the day but is there any chance of getting
a ticket for Irelands first game or is there a pay as you enter and
what price would it be for either one.

Well since Dave in .0 sits about 20 yards from me I gave him a map of
Orlando and advised him not to wear anything orange! since he's going
    to see belgium v Morocco.

Andy .1 - Orlando has millions of hotel rooms for Disneyworld just
go to the Tourist Info Centre either at the airport or on International
    Drive (it's just off I-4)

Tickets for Ireland v mexico on friday are sold out but i'm sure that
for enough bitts of green paper you could buy one! tickets for morocco
v Holland the following wednesday ought to be readily available.

No problem here, I only wear orange on St Patrick's Day anyway......

I've been instructed to wear black, yellow and red for the Red Devils by a
friend in Belgium.

Our seats are section 325 (top section) back by the goal. We'll be sure to
bring binoculars.

     "International Drive"

Andrew, I'm travelling to the States late July and will be staying in
an apartment on International Drive. Can you, or any other US noter
give me some info on the area, ie do's and don'ts, place to go/avoid
    etc.

    Thanks,

          Danny.

    Danny,

late july i.e after the world cup? so it's got nothing to do with
footie? start with the Tourist office on International drive apart from
that the rules are common sense - avoid downtown at night, don't stop
at traffic lights for strangers etc...

    regards,
