366.0. "FA Cup Final ticket wanted please" by GALVIA::SPAIN (signed long gary();) Mon Apr 11 1994 13:04

As many of you may know I'm a long suffering Chelsea fan. As I wasn't
long out of nappies in 1970 this is the firsat time in living memory
that Chelsea have got to a cup final. I'm going over anyway but I'm
entering this note in the hope that someone might know someone who
might have a chance of getting a ticket for the final.

Please email me at galvia::spain or phone 7-822-4654

    Gary.

If you forward 200 Pounds in small denomination bills, I'll see what I
can do for you. The ticket may however cost extra ;-)

    Lads,

you are going to be extreeeeeemly lucky to get a ticket, I will let you
know if any oppurtunities come my way but at this stage it is every man
    for himself.

I've got one of two tickets allocated to my Sunday league team but the
fight for the secound one is so great that I'd probably end up in
hospital if I dived in there to try and get it.

Most of the guy's I went with on Saturday are going to be unlucky as
well, the best we can hope for is 20/22 thousand, they will be sold
intially to season ticket holders (possibly 2 per ST), then club
members, then possibly members of the CPO (Chelsea Pitch Owners)
scheme, then if it goes like tickets for the semi's, 94/95 new members
and ST holders, then voucher holders then the general public.

If all season ticket holders take their full allocation and all members
buy 1 ticket there will be no more than 2,000 left.

Best of luck to you in your attempts, come over ticket or no ticket,
touts may be your best chance, we'll have a party before the game,

    Loz.

    Loz,

if Chelsea get 20k, I suppose Utd if they win will get 30k due to
crowd attendances etc. If Oldham win they'll get about 20k. So that
leaves 50k tickets either on the blackmarket or floating around
Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.

One thing is sure... the real street level fans always lose out.

Any one hear of the famous encounter between the Queen and Tommy Cooper( Jus'
li' tha' ) after a Royal Variety performance.

This actually happened...

Cooper on shaking hands with the Queen asked her if she liked football.
Not very much she replied.
Well can I have your F.A cup final tickets then Mam, said Cooper.

Peter.

P.S So now you know who to write to. lads. She'll need a bit of extra cast after
the Tax hammering she got so expect to pay a little above the odds. She's now
,only, the second richest person in the U.K.

    Gary,

if United win, I am told they will get 24,000, unfair, sad but
(possibly) true. The rest go to the FA for distribution, this is wrong,
but in this instance and based purely on the selfish fact that it has
worked out in my favour, I will not be writing a stern letter to the FA
complaining, I'm sure a few others will, as they probably do every year
    and nothing will happen again.

    Loz.
