The problem here DH is that we've got two prediction topics in this conference
and we all feel that's more then enough, now you just start two more prediction
topics (in the Dutch League topic & this topic) and we don't need that.
If you want to predict join the international predictions topic at 168 and
don't mess up the rest of the notes file 'cause football is our main intrest
not some Dutch man who wants to know if his betting is done right.

| OK OK calm down all of you. You are all right in what you are saying.
You can discuss anything football-related but we are trying to save
some disk space. We had to move out from several nodes already.
Now, if our student friend wants to bet, he can do so using VAXmail and get
together with whoever is interested. He can also take part in the International
Predictions topic of course.

| Sorry to say.... but this guy sounds too cocky. I guess it's just the
way he strikes his keys. But, then again, it's just my opinion.

262.12 | From the Orange Book | AKOCOA::KNIPSTEIN | | Wed Sep 30 1992 15:26 | 15 |
| I don't know how much different the company policies are in Europe, but
here in the U.S. discussion of gambling on the network is a violation
of company policy. This conference could be shut down and security
would be visiting the parties involved.
According to the Personnel Policies Manual (Orangebook) it is against
company policy to -
"o Participate in any form of illegal gaming or gambling on Company
or customer property."
Granted, participation in such activities may take place, but given the
current climate, I sure wouldn't do so in a public forum like this.

Re -1, Thanks Steve. I've re-read the previous notes and decided to
set some of them hidden. While nobody is actually gambling in here
there are references to gambling and advertising forms of gambling.
I think it's better to play safe in the current climate.

I'm only a student employee for a six month period, so I was not aware
of all this.
I hope you can forgive me !
