| Probably the week before the first day of the season , which would make
it 8th Aug.
Phone up l'pool or Leeds or Wemberlee , they will have details of the
tickets.
Wots a Bond Holder - just curious.

| Meant to put this in the Leeds note (did a W not an R).
By Bond Holder I mean a Leeds United Bond Holder (500 pounds = 100 pounds
off a season ticket for 7 yrs + priority for tickets to Cup & European
games etc. etc.). I think we may be allocated two tickets each.

| It may be that I have to change my prediction to:
Reds (now it would appear with a giraffe AND a donkey) 2
Not red (sadly with only one four legged contributor) 1
Rumours abound that Alan Smith is going to Anfield. Does this mean that
someone (Rush or Saunders) will be out in the cold?

This years Charity Shield will not end in a draw. If the scores are
level after 90 mins then it's penalties. The last time this was tried
in the Charity Shield was in 1974 when ... Liverpool played Leeds !
I wonder if both teams have already nominated who is to be sent-off,
and also to strip on the way to the changing rooms ? Just hope Lukic
doesn't try and emulate David Harvey (he missed the decisive penalty
in '74 - he nearly became the first person to kick the ball out of the
ground from a penalty)

| Finally going to see Leeds at Wembley - its been a long wait.
We're going down on a package deal from Leeds, staying in the Hilton
near Wembley on Saturday night. Four hours on the M1 in a bus full of
executive Leeds yobs = 4 showings of "The Champions" video + 4x4
McEwans + endless 3 card brag etc... Decided not to take any cars - too
many scousers around.
Does anyone know any lively bars near Wembley for a couple of hours of
pre-match chanting, ranting, bantering and shanting ? And what are the
kicking places dooon the West End for our post-match celebrations ?
Ta,
Clive.
