AT LEAST AT SELHURST PARK WE DON'T HIDE OUR AWAY SUPPORTERS BEHIND
FLOODLIGHTS (LIKE CERTAIN SOUTH LONDON CLUBS THAT SHALL REMAIN
NAMELESS),AND WE KNOW WE'LL BE SEEING PREIMIER LEAGUE FOOTIE!
BUT AS 4 AWAY SUPPORTERS I CAN'T EXPLAIN THE SUDDEN DROP OF THE
ALREADY BAD TURN OUTS THE LAST 1-2 SEASONS.
I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT THE FACT THAT W/DON ARE SUCH A
YOUNG CLUB IN LEAGUE FOOTBALL TERMS DOES EXPLAIN FOR THE SMALL
FOLLOWING,ie YOU LOSE THE FATHER TO SON SUPPORT THAT IS THE
BACKBONE OF MOST CLUBS,BUT THAT SAID THE RECENT DROP IN SUPPORT
DOES THROW MY EXCUSES OUT THE WINDOW.

There's been a lot of talk in the Irish media today about the possibility

Last time Vinny was in Dublin he bit of more than he could chew.
I think the premier league is becomming more American, where owners
move teams based on personal preference, money and facilities. The
interest generated by the Irish national team should ensure sell out crowds
and if Wimbledon could arrange to play a few games in South London to
satisfy there small but dedicated support, I think its a good idea.
But I cannot see the administrators letting it happen and I suggest its
another move by Sam the Man to put presure on Merton Council to allow
the development of Plough Lane and to keep Joe sweet with the Irish
pending him taking over from Big Jack.

Not a NOTW exclusive, Radio 5 reported this about a fortnight ago
whilst StM was in the studio. I think StM was blowing hot-air (hey
what's new ?) as he was peeved about the clubs treatment by the prem
committee, the FA, Planning committees, Blue Peter, et al.

| Yeah, there are rumours about the move to Dublin and a possible
re-location to Cardiff. Whether any of it is true or not is uncertain
but I personally believe it is an underhand attempt by Jack Charlton
to get Dean Holdsworth qualified for the Irish team.

The Guardian said that the FAI had blocked it. Apparently they don't
want to get into the same kind of mess as the FAW have done with The
League of Wales and UEFA. By the same token a move to Cardiff looks
a bit iffy.

Not so quiet today !
Have you seen the papers regarding Mr Holdsworth ??? According to
the Sun, Deano's been dropped due to his attitude at being put on the
subs bench during the Leeds game ( Wimbledon lost 1-0 ). Appartantly
Deano has has words along the lines "...If I'm not good enough to start
I want a transfer..." while Joe Kinnear has given the old " no one
player is too big for the club " routine..
It could be intresting to see who gives way first.. Wimblrdon
haven't scored in 270 minutes of football and Deano is the top scorer
at the club...
However the real need to get this issue resolved asap is that Dean
Holdsworth is in my fantasy footie team !!!

What, Swallowfield Wanderers ?????
On a serious note, Basingstoke is gasping for a decent team, there's a huge
catchment area, easy to get to, loads of parking, and the stadium(?)/pitch is
gagging for expansion, just can't see Wimbledon there tho.

| They are talking about building an entirely new stadium not expanding Camrose,
home of Basingstoke Town. The new stadium would be located much closer to the
town centre, just off Churchill Way. There is acres of land to spare.
Personally I think it would be great, though I would still rather travel to
watch the Chelsea than attend a Wimblestoke or Basingdon game.
I think it is pie in the sky, remember 4-5 years ago they had a crazy idea
about bidding to win and relocate the Wimbledon lawn tennis championships.

I do feel a little bit of sympathy towards Wimbledon (not a lot), but
at least you should beat your neighbouring cheats from Stamford Bridge,
I for one will be chearing the Dons on, and I suppose will quite a few
Leicester supporters. We know how you feel to be denied glory to either
a sickening decision or like Tuesday by, how can I put it,
unsatisfactory end to a football match.
I know it wasn't a glamorous game but it was an enthralling game, and
as one of the commentators put it "Wimbledon have been outwimbledonned"
if you see what I mean.
