    Most players think they are good managers when they give up football,
    just look at Ian Branfoot at Southampton!!!!!
    Ian has done a great job so far this season
136.8Yeah, right...TRUCKS::SANTMon Dec 23 1991 09:1022

    	Yes, Branfoot's doing a tremendous job at The Dell. He's dropped
    	Le Tissue more times than he's played him this season (least that's
    	the way it seems..), bought Terry "Gyppo" Hurlock in from the cold
    	(the man's an assissin..) and succeeded in driving Saints up to
    	second-to-last place in the first division.

    	The "defensive" tactics employed see Neil Ruddock getting sent off
    	or booked nearly every week, and the once-widely respected and
    	regarded Southampton style has gone right out of the Manager's
    	window.

    	I wonder what Lawrie MacMenemy and the unfortunate Chris Nicol
    	think of Branfoot's revolution. Not much, I shouldn't wonder. I
    	take my hat off to Branfoot for this outstanding transformation.

    	If you were to speak to any Saints fans, as I do at work here at
    	the Solent, you would tend to be of the same opinion...

    	8-) ad infinitum after all the sarcy comments, for forms' sake..

    	Andy.
