| Some more quotes from the incomparable Colin Murphy, from his time
at Lincoln, reproduced from an article in Saturday's 'Guardian':
On how to break down opposing defences:
"Of the keys on the ring at the moment we should be selecting more
correctly to unlock opposing mechanisms. However, there is not a
lock that cannot be unlocked so we shall continue to endeavour to
unlock the lock but in doing so we must not get locked out."
On his side's disappointing position:
"We cannot expunge the last 20 games, what we can say is as a
result of the last 30 games, whatever the variables, excuses or
praises one wishes to implicate, our position is as it is."
On Stockport County:
"Only a very, very few people were aware of the demeanour of
Stockport in 1986. Reminiscent of the eerie old haunted house that
has been empty for years and was begging for life. No different to
the dodo. How joyful for them not to have acrimoniated in the
non-league. How delightful for them to be making a success of
defeating extinction. Let us hope we are all able to be pulmonic!"
Murphy's now at Notts County - but not writing the programme notes.
Wonder why ?

at Highbury and I might buy it (Is Kevin Connelly MBA still running
it?).

| Baldy Bulgarian winger, Letchkov, apparently puts his lack of hair
down to the disaster at the Cheynobyl (sp) Power Plant. Whether
this has similarly affected en vogue 'Crome-dome' Steve Stone, is hard
to say but it could be described another example of Nuclear Fall-Out.
