| | Barry,

I saw this for the first time last night. Have I missed many?

I thought the David Batty School of Soccer Skills was hilarious but
some of the rest was a bit weak. As an Arsenal fan somewhat remote from
Highbury I found the piece on the Bond very interesting. Is David Dein
Chairman of AFC now? He is according to this programme.

| | I think they've got the basis of a good programme, but the chap who
introduces it gets on my tits. He'd be alot better if he gave the
"professional scouser" bit the elbow. As for the interviews with the
fans concerning the Arsenal Bond the one with the, "I'm prepared to
put my money..." was a travesty of what was actually said. They left
the concern for the ordinary fan bit on the cutting room floor. And as
for that guy Mark Leyton who has apparently been standing on the
Northbank for eons, he looked suspiciously like a chap who until two
years ago used to sit in front of me in the East Stand Lower Tier.
Finally, David Dein is still the vice-chairman at Arsenal, although he
is now the single largest shareholder. I believe Peter Hill-Wood sold
him some shares in the summer.

| | This has definitely made it into the 'must not miss' category (Not many of those
these days). It has definitely got the makings of an excellent program, with its
light hearted antics, and the informational stories, e.g. Fascism & Arsenal Bond
scheme. I also enjoy the interview feature with some of the greatest, so far
Michel Plattini & Ruud Hullitt. We don't often get to see them off the field,
and it's interesting to see what they're really like.
However, the best part is Sepp Maiers (sp) comic shorts. I shall be utilising
some of the useful techniques they showed on Monday in my next game on Sunday
morning, so our team had better watch out ;-)
I recommend you make a note in your diary for Mondays 19:10 on BBC2

natural one? The guy's from Liverpool. Give him a break.

Michael, I don't particularly want him to speak like Dan Maskell, in
fact heaven forbid! I would just like him to be himself. Perhaps he
    is?!

Not all (any?) cockneys say, "Cor, strike a light me ol' china." or eat
jellied eels, not many Irish people I've met say "begorrah and
bejasus", and talk about Leprachauns, etc. I'll bet you before the
    series is over the guy has mentioned one or more of the following;
Knottyash, the Mersey, the Liver Birds, the Beatles, Jerry and the
Pacemakers, Scouse, the "great" Liverpool sense off humour.

In my opinion the guy is there to present the programme to the best of
his ability, his "professional scouser" routine detracts from that.
    JMHO, of course.

Also Shelley Webb (Neils wife) commented on Alex Fergusons book -
forget the name - and she fairly slated him and hinted he was only doing
it for the money. Does this mean now that Neil Webb is also going to be
    kicked out of Fergies army.

Stuart,
If you listened carefully, there was no mention of Old Trafford.
The lad said that it was when he went to Manchester and we beat
them, that he was attacked. There was no mention of United or Old Trafford
in the programme. Looks like you had the tinted glasses on.
