90.0. "Game announcement APRIL 26" by STAR::GRIFFIN () Fri Mar 07 1997 11:05

Boy, and I thought interest in playing paintball was waning. Boy was I
wrong! Well, most of you are probably wondering what was taking so long in
organizing a game. Well a couple of things actually. I will most likely be an
uncle at the beginning of April, my wife's birthday is in mid-april, and my
daughter is making her first penance on the 19th. To top it all off, I will
most likely be starting a new job by then (how is that for a bombshell). Yes
this will be the last game I will organize as a Digital employee. I have been
with Digital for 15 years and I am sorry to say I think its future is bleak.

Anyway, I still hope to organize games. In fact I am building a list
of electronic mail addresses that I can use from outside of Digital. It is
important that you send me your external mail address (e.g.
[email protected] is my current external address) if you wish to be
kept on the paintball mailing list. I will post my NEW external mail address
as soon as I know it.

I have reserved 30 slots on April 26, 1997 at Canobie Paintball in
Windham N.H.. If you want to play, you must get in touch with me. I realize
this might be a little tougher this time, so you can send me US Mail (through
a post office, see address below), or you can call me at 603-899-2285, or you
can send mail to '[email protected]' (this is my brother, he should be able
to forward the mail to me). Also, you send mail to Gary Allison (STAR::ALLISON
or '[email protected]'), I will be in touch with Gary for head count.

Costs for a days playing has not changed, they are as follows.

$24 - This price includes the filling of the Co bottle.

$5 - Per guppy refill of 50 paintballs.

$4 - Per Co bottle refill. This is not necessary unless you do a lot
of shooting. I have played many times and never needed to refill
	     my bottle of Co.

Please send me a check as soon as you decide to play, the earlier
the better. We have about 8 weeks to get everything organized (it goes by fast),
so don't delay letting me know if you want to play. Send checks to:

				  Keith Griffin
				  26 Abel Road
			       Rindge, N.H. 03461

ENET: STAR::GRIFFIN (for a little while)
				DTN: 381-1289
				HOME: 603-899-2285

If you would like deliver the check to me at work, I am located
at ZK03-4 (Spitbrook Rd Nashua N.H.) office 4W01. (for a little while)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

I know this is not necessary for everyone, so if you have played before
you can skip the recommendations.

Everyone should be there by 8:30 AM so that we can get organized and
signed in. I would recommend that everyone bring/do the following:

Wear clothing in layers so that if you are hot you can remove some, or
if you are cold you can add some. (if you are cold you won't be after our
first game :-) ) Also wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Bring a lunch with you, and bring at least a half gallon of water, or
something like water, you'll be thirsty after a few games.

DIRECTIONS to CANOBIE:

I will assume that everyone knows how to get to Interstate Route 495.
Take Rt 495 to Interstate Route 93 north. Stay on 93 and follow it into New
Hampshire. After crossing the N.H. border look for Exit 3 (this will be
route 111). Get off Rt 93 at exit 3 and at the end of the off ramp take a
right onto 111 East. You will travel about 150 yards to a set of lights. Take
a left at the set of lights. To make sure you have the right set of lights,
you should see a fruit stand across the street and the Windham Country Store
beside you on your right. After taking a left at the lights the road bends to
the right. Look for a church on your left (it is less than a mile from the
lights). Take the left that is immediately in front of the church. Then take
an immediate right onto Roulston Road. Follow Roulston Road for about 2 miles
and you will see Canobie Paintball on your left. Pull into Canobie Paintball
and prepare for battle.
