| Is the customer looking for specific features, or just inquiring?
We just started shipping Mail V2.6 (English) at the end of February. We're
now working on a Mail V2.6 ECO 1 to fix some Mac OS 7.6 incompatibilities.
Remainder is Company Confidential - We're also trying to find a way to
localize Mail V2.6 ECO 1 (for less money than the product is projected to
generate). Then we'll probably release a new TeamLinks Office kit with Mail
V2.6 ECO 1 and any changes required to make the other Office components work
under Mac OS 7.6. Then we'll probably decide just what new features and bug
fixes will go into V2.7. Then we'll look at what resources are available to
do the required work. Then someone will decide if we will localize V2.7.
Then we'll develop a schedule.

| Hello Lee,
Thanks for your information. The customer was just inquiring because he
will upgrade his Teamlinks Windows V2.5 clients to V2.7 and he was
wondering if also for TeamLinks Macintosh V2.7 is available.

| Note that TeamLinks Mail for Mac V2.6 provides the RTF read/create-message
capability required to exchange RTF messages with TeamLinks Mail for Windows
V2.7.

| ABBOTT::TL_MAC$KITS:TLM026.SEA_HQX is a binhex'd self-extracting archive.
Stuffit Expander can be used to expand the file into the mail kit after the
file has been copied to a Mac.
This kit is for Digital internal use only - not to be given to customers.
This software is known to have problems running under Mac OS 7.6. Those
problems include, but are not necessarily limited to:
o a TeamLinks Mail Notifier (control panel) crash (usually at startup;
workaround: move the control panel to the "Control Panels (disabled) folder,
thereby preventing loading of the control panel, and disabling new mail
notification);
o a crash when using TeamLinks File Cabinet Access (when changing the
password; workaround: don't do that, or don't use File Cabinet Access);
o a possible crash running the Mail application (under investigation; not
understood fully, no workaround offered).
A future ECO will probably be required to address these Mac OS 7.6-related
problems. There is currently no schedule in place to deliver that ECO (we
don't yet understand the problems).
There also seems to be a problem interoperating with TeamLinks Routing. This
problem is not related to Mac OS 7.6 - apparently a result of some change
made to TeamLinks Mail. No known workaround, likely to be fixed in a Mail
ECO and/or an updated TeamLinks Office kit.
This kit is (American) English. There are presently no local language
variants available.
