Hi,
I have a customer that asks the following:
"We are thinking of using the Java Development Kit (JDK) version
1.0.2 foor building som new applications for our control system
running on Digital UNIX 3.2g. According to the download instructions,
however, JDK 1.0.2 requires Digital UNIX 4.0A or later.
I have done some testing of JDK 1.0.2. on Digital UNIX 3.2g with
smaller prototypes and appeartly it seems to work. Does anyone know
whta the reason is for the Digital UNIX 4.0A requirement? Is there
a technical reason? Han anyone experience with JDK 1.0.2. on Digital
UNIX 3.2?
Your help will be appreciated
Harald Fretheim, ABB Norway"
Best regards,
Sissel

We are not aware of any problems with running JDK1.0.2 on Digital Unix 3.2,
but we do not support that combination. We did not do extensive testing
on that version of Digital Unix. So it will probably work, but if
you run into problems, we don't promise to fix them.
