Very good Derek
I have a wireless spread spectrum device - lesser vocab. Most

green, Green:
Green, green:
YELLOW, yellow, YELLOW, yellow
dark..............................................
yellow, YELLOW
dark .............................................
etc.

Oh for the over the pond listeners.....
for green, green substitute greeeeen, greeeeeen
ie
green, green = ring, ring
Yellow = hello
Blue (someone's name)
red some response
black,black.... idle chatter
pink the sound of the receiver going back on the hook...
should be done with the right hand with index and next two fingers
curled, thumb and little finger extended to make like a phone. hang
hand down. After some number of green, greens, during which it shakes
gently, put hand to ear and away you go. put back down for the
pink.....
make sense, Norman? Give it a burl...
Usually goes down well after a few bevvies...

| OK. .2 helped a bit, but I still didn't figure out those meanings
for blue and red.
Our phones go purple purple purple purple purple.

| This note reminded me of one of Lily Tomlin's "Ernestine" lines:
"Madam, we at the Telephone Company do not consider black to be
colored!"

| That's not politically correct any more.
She now has to say that a telephone of color isn't a telephone of color.

Browwwwn, Browwwwn, pink, pink, black, black, black,...
At least on the AM dial.

| G'day, Derek.
Awww, ya makin' me blush....
If I be in it, best stay up wind o' me.
I remember a creek out behind my old elementary school that went "purple,
purple, purple". Quite pleasant on a lazy summer afternoon. That was back
during my "civil engineering" phase. I'm sure you are all aware that the
fifth fundamental force in the universe (at least in the days before
electro-weak and TOEs [TsOE?]) is the attraction between boys and mud.
