1103.0. "Car Talk Credits" by OKFINE::KENAH (Every old sock meets an old shoe...) Fri Jun 17 1994 11:10

Car Talk is a syndicated radio program broadcast on National Public
Radio (NPR) in the US. It is hosted by Tom and Ray Maggliazzi (sp?)
two brothers who run a garage in Cambridge (our fair city) MA
    (pronounced MAAH.)

They are very funny. And they really know a lot about cars.

The reason I started a note about Car Talk is because of my favorite
part of the show: their closing credits. Some of these were mentioned
in another note (I'll copy the notes to this string). If possible,
I'd like to see a complete list of their credits, past and present.
They've dropped some, including my all-time favorite: Theme Music,
written by Bela Kartok. Obviously, the boys are into bad puns.

So, list those Car Talk closing credits.

Another ficticious company name: The Car Guys (a syndicated radio show
originating from Cambridge, MA) include in their closing credits the
name of a prestigious (but bogus) New England law firm:

    			Dewey, Cheatam, and Howe

Their personal lawyer, Hugh Louis Dewey, is known as Huey Louie Dewey.
(This last probably belongs in the nominal punishment string).

Dewey, Cheatham and Howe dates back at least 50 years. Was is the 3 Stooges
or Abbott and Costello who used the joke?

    Re: .12

Probably both but the Stooges were first.

The entire closing credits for Car Talk are a scream...a few from
    memory:

    Phone Support -- Isabelle Ringing
Director of Long-Range Planning -- Kay Sera, who married Frank Sera to
                                       become Kay Sera-Sera.
