1050.0. "Punny Brew Names Needed" by TELGAR::WAKEMANLA (Where's the last End If?) Thu Jun 10 1993 12:09

I have a problem that I think the readers of this conference can assist
me with. I have recently taken up Home Brewing as a hobby. Well, I
would like to create some "interesting" beer names. I have already
decided to brew a batch of "Johann Sebastion Bock" this winter but
other suggestions will be appreciated. "Brand" names suggestions would
also be appreciated, such as a friend here locally uses the brand name
    "Edweiser".

    Thanks

    Larry

    	"At the Hops"

"'Rock Around the Clock" (the "Rolling" is implied)

"Larry's Wicked Ale" (apologies to Pete)

"Gee, Your Beer Tastes Terrific" (or, for the less satisfactory
    		brews, "Slugweiser")

I was trying without success to locate a limerick in my books, the
    last line of which is
"And now she is sadder Budweiser"

The limerick treats many of the U.S. beer names in the same
fashion, and I will try to find the whole poem, but "Sadder Budweiser"
will have to do for now.

I thought this would make a great song title in a Mel Brooks movie, but it
can serve as a brew name as well, I guess -
