| Hey, Apostrophe! You're really cute in that context!
:-)
I think, just to keep them cards 'n letters coming, that we oughts to
allow punctuation in these here Superb Owls. Perhaps these should be
classed slightly lower than the angels, as "Superb Owlets"... ?
Thanks Andrew... For that, I promise not to groan the next time you "do

1020.12 | computer utility, and Dutch Superb Owls | HLDE01::STEENWINKEL | Witty phrase | Fri Feb 05 1993 02:12 | 20 |
| Just a moment ago I was looking at a directory listing which contained
the file
machost
Now, is this some utility to have a Mac function as a server, or
would it be useful to make an Atari (ST) more impressive?
A Dutch computer scientist, writer and columnist, Hugo Brandt Corstius,
has written 'Opperlandse Taal- en Letterkunde'. Calling this the
Dutch-JOYOFLEX-in-print would not be far off the mark. In it is a list
of (Dutch, unfortunately) words that have created, by incorrect
hyphenation, an entire new class of fauna. If someone else in here
knows Dutch (but not the book) I'll enter it (would be a little
pointless otherwise).

| One I remember from a "Farmers' Almanac" of a long time ago. It was claimed
to be an inscription over an old English inn. At first glance it appears to
be Latin, but it isn't.
Ores tabit fortis arare placet orestat.
