...

Boy is it getting cold over here, talk about brass monkey weather.
Which brings me to the point where I feel, I too must torment you
    blokes with some irrelevant trivia.

                            "A BRASS MONKEY"

A brass monkey just so happens to be a stand that was used to hold
cannon balls on those old square riggers. Apparently in cold weather
the brass monkey would contract, and the cannon balls would fall out
and start rolling around the deck. Hence, "FREEZE THE BALLS OFF A BRASS
    MONKEY".

Just think of the money you could have made back in those days, if you
had the patent for steal capped boots! Would have saved many a nasty
toe injury. And here I was thinking it all had something to do with
    testicles.

Yup. I see it in 1007 now. I did do a title search before I posted
the base note, but I didn't remember it being buried in topic 1007.
Perhaps the moderator can delete this whole topic.

Keeping up is going to be impossible after 5pm today. TFSO. This
conference is one of the few things that has made Digital fun recently.

Unbelievable. I suspect that you'll have fewer problems than those
    you'll leave behind, though.

    Good luck, Tom.

Nothing new here, eh? For some time, management has already been
cold enough to freeze the brains off a past company.
