-<is there a topic on this?>-
There is a note on songs with words that sound different.
I heard a teaser for a TV commentary on a new movie coming out:
_Weirdo Angels__
What a disappointment to find out it really was a review of a remake
of the Bogart film, _We're No Angels_. (Which shouldn't have beren
remade, anyway.)
<sigh>
But what a near title!

I'm not sure I get the gist of the base note, but something in it
makes me think of the following situation:
When I first moved to Massachusetts from Texas, "direct"
long-distance dialing hadn't yet been fully implemented - at least
not in Northboro. When you dialed "direct" you got an operator who
demanded: "Enema, please!" This was very disconcerting. What would
Alexander Graham Bell have said if he could have known that his
marvelous invention was being used for this sort of sicko
solicitation?
It took us a while to figure out that the operator wanted to know
what number the call was being placed from. In the mid-west, (s)he
would have said "Your number, please!"
