211.0. "Public Access of SUMMIT Notefiles" by SUMMIT::SYSTEM () Mon Jun 23 1986 14:46

    The NOTES$SERVER on SUMMIT has been tuned.  It is now set-up
    to limit the maximum number of servers processing at one time
    to two (2).  The maximum number of links per server is set
    to three (3).  This means the total number of concurrent links
    for remote access of Notefiles on SUMMIT is six (6).
    
    This has been done because SUMMIT is a 750, and there where
    times when 20 or more concurrent links for Notes would bring
    local user response to it its knees.  The alternative to this
    solution would be to remove Public Notefiles from SUMMIT --
    and there are only two ways to achieve that.

    SUMMIT's a 750?  Perhaps it should be renamed VALLEY.
