| Hmm. Trucks on cheese wedges. I thought that was "Beware of sliding trucks."

| There *were* a classic set of icons used in airports:
Departure areas were marked by a drawing of an aircraft pointing upwards
(at about 45) over a solid line (the ground).
So far, so good.
Arrival areas were marked with a similar drawing, a picture of a plane
about the ground, pointing down at about 45!!!
I believe arrivals are marked differently..

p.s. I tried to depict this with ASCII graphics, but they are too crude
for iconography of the required detail.)

| Saw a cute picto-sign in Canada; I think it's their version of "Men Working,"
but what it looks like is "Man standing hip-deep in horse manure."

| It's been a while since the last reply, but...
I always liked the signs with the reference to an old
SNL skit; that is,
"Be careful if you picnic here, there are killer trees in the area."

106.5 | not a highway icon | MYCRFT::PARODI | John H. Parodi | Tue Feb 10 1987 16:32 | 13 |

Today my LN03+ became distressed and began displaying the following
icon (in blinking red, no less):
O
O O
O O O
I figured that it had to mean "LN03+ out of cannonballs" but all the
printer wanted was a toner cartridge...

thought it was a bunch of grapes. No wonder it rejected the juice!

| those are not cannonballs. The flashing lights mean that the printer
has "gone bowling".

I hate to tell you but, you're all wrong
What those cannon balls actually mean is
that your LN03 has suffered a severe hit from the rear (your RS232)
and that you need to place the LN03 in your arms and comfort it
till it recovers.
