Hey!! *I* remember that mnemonic, too! And you *are* correct, it
was in the Boy Scouts merit badge pamphlet for the Electronics
merit badge, circa 1966 or 1967. (Electronics was one of the 21
badges I earned on the way to Eagle Scout rank...yeah, I made it and
I'm still proud of it....!)

Say what?!! Neptune and Pluto have swapped, and now Neptune is the farthest
out? I never heard this!

| Pluto's orbit is rather elliptical (oval) and at its closest approach is closer
to the sun than Neptune, whose orbit is more circular. It will remain closer
than Neptune until 2000 or therabouts.
