1467.0. "Baum,Seligman,Citron,Lisberg,Goldblum,Zelligmann" by SIOG::BAUM () Wed Jul 19 1995 20:03

    Hi,

Is there anybody out there with the surname, Baum, Seligman,
    Citron, Lisberg, or Goldblum.
If there is, let me know, and we'll take it from there.

I have been compiling my family tree for the last year-and-a-half and
have got over 350 people in it. I'm not going to get into all the
details at this stage. But if your name or a relation's surname is
one of the above, we can take it for there, to establish if we are
    related.

I'm from Ireland, but don't worry about that, my family is from all
over Europe, Eastern Europe, South Africa, America, I think that covers
most of it. Oh, and I'm Jewish, so if we are related you are probably
Jewish as well, although not necessarly. There are of course other
surnames in the family, but these are the main ones I can think of at the
    moment.

One more thing, Seligman may have been spelt differently, ie.Zelligmann.

If you look in Maimonides School (Brookline, MA) phone directory, you
will find half of it with the names like Baum or Citron! :-)

    Heath,

I've sent your query (list of surnames) to a friend (Seligman)
who also has been researching his family tree. So if you
get a message soon from China you'll know there is probably a
    connection.

I researched a bit for him 2 years ago and one of the towns/cities
    I remember was [sounds-like] Bobrusk. I'm sure there's a few
'z'ees in there somewhere. What I don't recall is if this
was on his father's or mother's side. His father claims he
is a Litvak -- whatever that may mean.

    Happy tree climbing.
    Levi.
