1436.0. "Can you help me for informations in Petah Tikva?" by MLNCSC::MISLER () Thu Oct 20 1994 11:00

My family lives in Petah Tikva, near Tel Aviv.
Yesterday evening I tried to call them by direct dialing, but the line was
always busy.
After I tried to call them by operator, and the operator in Italy told me that
the numbers starting with 92 (their numbers) are out of service.
I tried again this morning without success.
Can you please try to call them from Israel and ask them if somebody of them
was involved in the Tel Aviv bomb blast?

You can try one of the following numbers (the prefix for Petah Tikwa is 3):

My aunt Geula 9220591
My aunt Auva 9221749
My cousin Doron 9243645

Many thanks for your help
Shalom

1436.1Petah Tikva phones out of orderTAVIS::JONATHANThu Oct 20 1994 15:1112
    Donatella,

All the lines in the Petah Tikva area beginning 92, 93 and 94 are out
of order since Tuesday morning 3am following a fire in the central
switchboard room for these numbers. The lines are expected to be out
    for about another two weeks.

Responsibility for the fire was claimed by a Jewish group called
DOV (Dikui Bogdim - Suppression of Traitors), which is violently
    opposed to the "peace process".

About 25,000 telephone subscribers were affected.

Thanks for the answer.
At last I was able to have news from a cousin of another
cousin.
I want to express to you, to all Bagelers and to all
Israeli people the deep sorrow and grief that I feel for
the horrible event in Tel Aviv.
Shalom
Donatella
