1432.0. "Shalom & goodbye..." by POWDML::SMCCONNELL (Next year, in Jerusalem!) Mon Oct 03 1994 17:23

Dear BAGELers,

Shalom. My last day with Digital is October 7th.

I'm bitter-sweet at saying good-bye to Digital after 11 years. I trust
things will work out well for me (I know my Provider), but at the same
time, I will miss noting and speaking with you.

I don't want to leave without letting you know that I feel a *tremendous*
sense of indebtedness to you all. No matter how "flat" this will sound
electronically, it is true to my core...*thank you* for all you've
contributed to my spiritual walk.

Whether you know it or not, you've had a tremendous, irreversible impact
on my life. While I was not born into this world as one obliged to observe
the Torah, it's a light yoke I've since gladly accepted as a small, heartfelt
way to say "Thanks" to the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - Who has done
great things for me. Indeed, His yoke is easy, and His burden light.

From my heart, I say along with Ruth; a woman from the nations who joined
herself to Israel and became a maternal ancestor of the Messiah...

Wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I'll live.
Your people are my people now, and your G-d is my G-d too.
Wherever you die - I too will die; and I'll be buried beside you.
May G-d deal with me as harsh as need be if I ever leave your side.

Thank you, friends. If the L-rd would return to you even a tiny fraction
of the blessing I've received by knowing you, you'd be joyous eternally.
My prayer is that He return your kindness to you a thousand fold! May you
have His richest and greatest blessing, and the shalom that surpasses
comprehension.

		Yivarechech Adonai v'yish marecha,
		Yaer Adonai panavelecha v'hunecha,
		Yisa Adonai panavelecha,
		v'yasemlecha shalom.

In love in Him,

Steve (Psalms 118)

Sorry to hear that you will be leaving the company.

I enjoyed shearing things with you and knowing that someone like
	you was listening to me.

Best luck in your future endeavours.
