(Sydney) Australia has burnt down. At this stage it is not clear how this occured and the police have not ruled out arson. The community is in SHOCK. Although arson attacks on Sydney Synagogues happens almost yearly. The Synagogue was founded in 1912 I will post as more information comes to hand. Quentin

Hello,
The reason for the fire was not arson, but an electrical fault.
Still, 15 Torah scrolls were lost and the remains buried.
If anyone from the community reads this note, please say
hello to my sister. You will know her as she is Judith,
Rabbi Ingram's wife.
