1410.0. "L'hit..." by BOSDCC::CHERSON (the door goes on the right) Tue Apr 26 1994 23:10

The witching hour has rung for yours truly. Yes, Digital has
"separated" from me, and a myriad number of esteemed colleagues this
week in the U.S. I finally ran out of DEClives, and will be leaving
while there is still something to leave with.

I've enjoyed all the heated and "nice" discussions that we've conducted
over the years. I remember BAGELS' *aliyah* (have we paid the sochnut
back yet?...), and Fred Liss, and Mike M., and Greg, et.al. It was
always good to be "plugged in" to eretz while out here.

I wish good luck and health whether you're still toiling for BP, or
elsewhere. I'll land up on my feet, and on the net.

    L'hitraoat,
    David

Goodbye Dave! I'll miss you. If you can keep your sense of humor at
this time, I'm sure you will indeed land on your feet.

    L'hit and shalom to you!

David,

I'm literally speechless. At least we got to meet each other two weeks ago. Let
me know when and where you surface.

Wishing you the best,

Cb.

    David,

Although we never met, I still enjoyed reading your notes.

Good luck for the future - remember good computer people are in high
    demand in Israel.

Good bye, Dave. Best of luck. Perhaps we will meet again, on the net,
    or here.

Good luck out there. Maybe the next BAGELERS gathering will have to be an
ex-BAGELERS gather (we haven't had one in a while anyway).

Hi Gav!

Well I'm out here in the world (both figuratively and the node...). I'd
like to convey my thanks for the nice replies on my departure. I
especially appreciate the thoughts from TAV.

TFSO is not based on logic, performance, personality, etc. It's merely a
game of musical chairs, and when I returned from the far east I was
either sitting in the wrong chair or no chair at all. They've boiled
Digital Consulting down to the lowest common denominator now. gee, just
think what we could have done if we had someone to sell?...

Since I'm out now I have been giving thought to Israel, not politics, but
ways in which I could possibly contribute my expertise to companies
there. I'm not independently wealthy (I wish!), so I would have to be
paid for services rendered, but I'm also cheaper than Digital or Andersen.
Manufacturing consulting, business development, product development, are
all areas that I have expertise in. I will be meeting with a samll
start-up manufacturing practice this week, and it's composed of
independent "practices", so if I do join this venture at least I'd have a
kotovet. Appreciate any input.

My internet address is now: [email protected] (yeh, it's software
tool & die).

Let's keep kesher!
