Dear fellow bagelers from TAV I need help in getting my LA100 to print Hebrew fonts. In using an old Document processor (LEX-11) on the Pro-350 which was obtained some time back from Zvika Drori, I am successful in printing the English version, however, the Hebrew version prints in English characters. i-e BET PRINTS AS a GIMEL PRINTS AS b VAV PRINTS AS e etc...... Can someone let me know if I have to set my printer switches in a certain way? or guide me to what I am doing wrong? I realize this is a old piece of Software, however, perhaps someone in the TAV office still has some recollection on how to solve this problem . Todah Rabbah

A few questions: a) Are you printing 8 or 7 bit hebrew ? b) Are you sure that the printer has hebrew (a special rom ?) Try printing using the test and see if any hebrew characters come out. Yaacov | |||||

Thank you for your prompt reply. Answers to your questions: 1. I am printing 8 bit hebrew. (the printer is set at 8 bit) 2. I am not sure the printer has hebrew, However when garbage prints out , some Hebrew characters appear such as the "shin" and the "Kof". You mentioned to use the Test. What Test? Thank you. |
