1355.0. "kashrut seals in Canada" by BOSDCC::CHERSON (the door goes on the right) Fri Aug 13 1993 20:35

I've got a question which should be directed at a bagler up in Canada
(if there are any left that is...). I have been working on a project
at Northern Telecom in Ottawa, and I'm curious to know what the kashrut
seals are in Canada? Appreciate any info.

MK is the Vaad of Montreal, which is considered reliable. There's a Toronto-
based one too, but I'm not sure what it is.

VH is under the Vaad in Ottawa and
  COR is Kosher from Toronto.

There is also a Kosher butcher on Ricmond Road between
Woodroff and Churchill Ave...(closer to Churchill)

    Re: .1 & .2

Thanks to you both! By the way we noticed that the President's Choice
(Le Choix de President...) brand being sold in supermarkets in the
    states now has a hechsher.

re .3:

Perhaps some President's Choice products have a hechsher, but the few I've
looked at don't. I gather that PC is basically a fancy store-brand, so there
are probably almost as many different producers as there are items.

Well the barbeque sauce had a hechsher anyways. I haven't checked out
    the other products though.
