1344.0. "Farewell" by VERGA::STEWART (Caryn....Perspective is Everything!) Mon Jun 21 1993 21:01

It's time for me to say farewell.

Today will be my last day, as I am being TFSO'd.

I've enjoyed participating in the BAGELS notes conference - I've learned
alot!

I wish you all the best, and happy noting!

Take care,

Caryn Stewart

    Goodbye Caryn!

May this new chapter in your life be rewarding in the ways that really
matter to you. I'll miss you.

I'll be leaving too, a little later this week. (Although my last
offical day is Friday, I'm actually going on a long-planned trip
Thursday, so Wednesday is my last day.)

Fortunately, electronic communications reach beyond Digital these days
and I can be contacted after Wednesday by sending email to

                    [email protected]

(or, for most people, DECWRL::"[email protected]").

It's been fun. This conference is like an extended family inside
    Digital.

1344.3bye Aaron, Constituency planners down by halfTNPUBS::STEINHARTBack in the high life againTue Jun 22 1993 22:1015
So long, Aaron. It was a pleasure to know you and work with you. I
greatly appreciated your patience in responding to some issues in
BLACKNOTES. And I enjoyed hearing your shofar at the High Holidays
    open house in Littleton.

Folks, Aaron and particularly Caryn have been great supporters of the
    erstwhile Jewish Constituency Group.

We've lost several other folks in prior layoffs, including Janet
Cardillo, Liz Augustine, Elena Ascknasi, Daniella Kis, Ethy Gross, and
Doug St.Clair. With Aaron, this means our Constituency Group planning
committee has lost 8 out of 17. Ouch. Well, it was nice while it
    lasted.

I'd like, first of all, to wish Aaron the best in whatever he may
be doing in the future. Aleh veHazlach!

I enjoyed Aaron's serene approach, uncompromising yet tolerant, to
many "hot" issues we rose both here and other fora. I wish we all
could learn from him on this. Is it perhaps related to the name
    of Aaron?

Let me wish you Aaron, again, all the best, and if your travelling
brings you here, to the Eretz HaZevi, the land of beauty, the land
of Israel, give us a call, it will be nice to meet you, at least,
    in person.

And for all the people that went away, let's rejoyce in the time we
spent together and all we learned from them, and may them, as well,
remember us, with a warm smile.

    Regards,

    Juan-Carlos Kiel

Aaron -

I read this with mixed emotions. I hope you are going off to do something new
and challanging, but I will surely miss your well grounded, sane, knowledgable
correspondence here in Bagels. Good luck in all your endeavors,

Waky

Sounds like a clear case of anti-semitism at Digital (just kidding,
before anyone gets all excited...)

Seriously, and sadly, I too will add my good-bye and thanks to Aaron
and all the others who have made this conference interesting and
enlightening. Success and happiness in all future endeavors...

Aaron,

I am sorry to see you go. I hope that through world.std.com we'll still be
able to see you in the various lists.

Well I'm still in circulation, although working at the customer (where
I'm supposed to be). I've been trying to keep in touch, but mostly
    it's been just the parasha.

I'm really sorry to see Aaron go, yet another of the core constituents
to fall by the wayside. I've been in this since Mike Mahler began it
several years ago, and I considered Aaron a bagler that we could count
on for incisive opinions, and discussion that rose above pettiness and
    other disturbing aspects.

Tomorow (4/22/94) will be my last day after twelve years with Digital.

I've met so many Baglers (both electronically and physically) during
their visits in Brookline and in the Baltimore/Washington area. It
really has been like a "landsmanshaft"--a friendship group developed
because of a common (virtual) geography.

I've learned much from my reading and participating in this group.

May you all be healthy, happy, and successful in the years to come...
and may we all see the time when there is peace in the world and in a
    rebuilt Jerusalem.

Another one bites the dust... Very sorry to hear this Avi. Yes your
comment on "landmanshaft" was right on. Just yesterday a friend
mentioned that she had asked if he knew me, and because of BAGELS he
    did.

Well I don't know who will remain to keep this conference active after
July 1, but it will be interesting.

I guess this is the closeset to an official Bagels farewell note.

Tomorrow is my last day here (Mar. 10)- Official termination is Apr. 7 Just
after my 17th anniversary. TFSO'd.

I will miss this notes file quite a bit, but now will have the
incentive to get my PC at home the software I need to web surf.

Good luck to all of you. Keep the company sound enough for me to get my
retirement money out in a few years. May you all once more work in an
environment that values all your abilities and gives you chance to use them.

I will continue to be around the greater Maynard area and can be reached at
	[email protected].

Sincerely,

Neil Rich
