1334.1Israel Independence Day celebrationTLE::GROSS::GROSSLouis GrossThu May 06 1993 20:0712
Time: Sunday, May 9 noon-(I think) 4
Place: Hatch Shell on the Esplanade (JCC campus in Newton if it rains)
Organized by: Jewish Community Center of Greater Boston; (617) 965-7410

I think there will be Israeli food, camel rides (what does this have to do
with modern Israel?), and lots of local organizations will have tables and
run activities. The organizational sponsors (some of which will have tables)
cover a wide spectrum, though I don't have a list. I am active in New Jewish
Agenda, and I know that there will be a table staffed by Friends of Meretz.
I am sure that the other organizations are all over the political/religious
spectrum. The activities at each booth are supposed to be educational/fun and
not explicitly political (we are planning a poster-making activity).

    				Thank you!

    We're going -- it is going to be a beautiful day (the only way it could
    be better would to be in Jerusalem instead.....)

Perhaps we'll see you there.

I'm about 6' with dark hair, moustache, glasses and probably a greek
fisherman's cap with a Sail Boston pin on it. I'll be with a my wife and 3
year old daughter. Of course, the crowd is usually pretty big; so the chances
are slim  8^{).
