1260.0. "New Year 5753" by TAV02::CHAIM (Semper ubi Sub ubi .....) Sun Sep 20 1992 13:44

As 5752 comes to a close, and soon we will be ushering in
5753, I would like to wish all the Bagelers

"L'Shannah Tovah Tikatevu V'Techasemu"

Let's also pray that this year will see the return of Digital
to the type of prosperity to which we are accustomed.

To all my fellow Bagelers, a happy and healthy New Year.

Since reading BAGELS is among my favorite activities, I feel this is
a good time to thank you all for your contributions.

In our tradition it is customary to ask from everybody we may have
offended their forgiveness before Yom Kippur. May I also do that.

May you all have a "Gmar Chatima Tovah" and may be fullfilled in us the
verse "...and it was forgiven to the whole Congregation of Israel, because
the whole People sinned by error."

    Best wishes,

    Juan-Carlos

Today is the eve of Yom Kippur. Here in Israel, to all the special
atmosphere of the hollyday, another dimmension is added:

The rememberance of the 1973 Yom Kippur war.

Lots of families visit today the resting place of their beloved. Many
of those are the graves of young people, almost children, that were
the expiation sacrifices that were brought in our generation. Let
us also add our rememberance of them and may we never be confronted
with this type of ordeals any more.
