1160.0. "URGENT: looking for a shalia'h from Boston" by ASSON::KLEIN (You're never alone with schizophrenia) Tue Jan 21 1992 15:52

I have to send to Israel a document(a single page) needed for a US visa
later this week.

I am looking for somebody leaving Boston to Tel Aviv Tuesday or eventually
Motsei Chabbat.

If you are aware of anybody planning so, please let me know. It is really
important.

Thank you very much

/Philippe

PS: I checked all the "express" ways (Federal Express,DHL,Skyracer...)
but no one garanties an overnight delivery.

I do not know anyone who is leaving this week to Isreal. However, try
to call the office of EL-AL in Boston at 617 426-2651. They might have
a way of transferring an urgent package with the pilots.

I finally used an quick but expensive way (70$) via Skyracer the parcel service of
Swissair which can deliver "overnight" after the letter or the packet
has been stored 24h in their wharehouse (this is a Swissair security policy
for any shipment to Israel).

Federal Express is cheaper (29$) and deliver door to door in 3 working days.
Unfortunately in my case it was too slow since Saterday & Sunday are not
consider as working days.

I was not very lucky since both last week and next week poeple from
Digital Israel were and will be in Boston, flying back home Thursday.

I called El-Al but they do not provide any letter or parcel service.

Anyway,thank you for your help

    Philippe,

I'm sorry to respond so late (I see you worked out a solution), but
would a FAX have been sufficient in this case?
