| I attended a few about 3 years ago, but stopped going after
getting engaged to a woman I met there (now my wife.)
As of three years ago, they singles Oneg Shabbats were once a
month, and they moved between different shuls in the Boston area.
The one in Marblehead was relatively empty, while the one in
Brookline (where I met my wife) was absolutely packed.
The regular congregation can attend, but since the main services
are Saturday morning, most of the people there on Friday night are
singles. Services vary in style, but often the rabbi goes
overboard since he hasn't seen this many people in the shul since
yontif. I was quite impressed by some of the rabbis, and not at
all by others.

| Hi -- I belong to Cong. Beth Elohim in Acton. I know there was a
Singles Shabbat last month, unfortunately the bad weather combined with
exhaustion kept us from attending; I understand there were only about
35 people all told [including the regular congregants].
The congregation is mixed age-wise. There is a large school -- over
200 kids I believe -- from kindergarten through confirmation, plus
several pre-school groups. It's basically a reform/conservative mix.
Rabbi Lewis Mintz is in his early 40s, and is very personable. There are
services every Friday at 8PM, except for the First Shabbat each month
which is a family service and starts at 7PM [the pre-k's are in a
separate location where they can make more noise]. There also is a
Saturday service most weeks due to the high amount of bar and bat
mitzvahs, and periodically there is a Mincha/Maariv/Havdallah service
on Saturday afternoons, complete with a pot luck supper.
There's an active Sisterhood [and Brotherhood]; also there's an active
Hadassah chapter.
Call me and maybe I can fill you in on anything more specific, or call
the Temple itself at 263-3061.
