    I wonder if they might hpld similar beliefs to the Seventh Day
    Adventists? 
    
    It's quite funny, here in Reading I often see them all dressed up 
    leaving Church as I walk home from Shul!

    The article was fairly long, and I didn't have the time to type it in,
    but I thought it was worth mentioning.  If I have time, I'll do a more
    comprehensive summary (or perhaps someone else will).  I don't have the
    article in front of me, but I think this is reasonably accurate:
    
    As I understand it, the minister of the church came to the conclusion
    that much of current Christian practice is actually pagan, and he
    wanted to get back to basics.  He persuaded some of the congregation to
    eliminate some of the things that he considered pagan symbols, such as
    the church steeple.  He also arranged for an Orthodox rabbi to give
    lessons on Jewish belief and practice.  They consider themselves
    Christian (i.e. they are not, apparently, interested in converting) but
    want to be Gerim Toshvim--rightous Gentiles.  This was a practice that
    was fairly widespread in Second Temple times, and disappeared with the
    advent of Christianity.  Jewish tradition holds that Jews are obligated
    to follow all the commandments in the Torah, but Gentiles are obligated
    only to follow those instructions given to Noah.
    
    Not everyone followed his lead, and the church is considerably smaller
    than when this all started.  Quotes attributed to people from other
    churches give the impression that this group is regared by their
    neighbors somewhat the same way that Jews for Jesus is looked upon by
    Jews.

    never heard of them, but this seemed like a good place to ask
    about a book I'm looking for.
    
    Does anyone know the publisher of "The Way of the Righteous Gentile"
    or where I can get the book? [Mass./N.H. area]

Have you tried looking it up in "Books in Print"?  Any bookstore or library
should have a copy.  If it's a Jewish publisher, the Israel Book Shop in
Brookline can probably order it for you.  If it's a Christian publisher,
I'm sure a Christian bookstore can get it.

    book stores. I don't think it's a Christian book.
