1004.0. "Help with E-Mail to Israel" by DSSDEV::MOR () Thu Nov 29 1990 15:53

If anyone is knowledgable about the various computer networks hooking
up sites all over the world, maybe you can help me out.

My brother, who lives in Israel, recently got access to an account at
Bar-Ilan University, and was able to send me E-Mail. Since he is not
affiliated with Bar-Ilan, he doesn't know how long he will have
access to this account. Ideally, he would like to be able to send
me mail directly from his work site. He told me that the company he
works for has access to "IsraNet," but he's not sure if IsraNet is
hooked up to Internet. Unfortunately, his fellow workers don't know
much about this either, so I'm asking around myself.

Does anyone know anything about IsraNet? Is there a way he can send
mail to DecWorld from his IsraNet account? Is there a way I can
send mail to his IsraNet account?

Any help would truly be appreciated.

	Thank You,
	  Rafi Mor

If he's connected to Internet, he should be able to send you mail at
		[email protected]
This will automagically locate an appropriate Dec gateway (decwrl or whatever)
which, in turn, will use the "enet" marker to point the mail to dssdev::mor.

Watch out, Internet is addicting.

Martin.
