Yes, I woul like if anybody could help me in obtaining information on what its called the "GOLDEN DOOR"(?). Its where the mount of the olives is located. I would like to know, why this door is closed? and any information pertaining to the same. Thank you in advance for your help. Regards, Edgar

I believe that you're referring to the Golden Gate, one of the gates to the Old City of Jerusalem. It's located opposite the Mount of Olives, and has been walled up for a long time. The story that I heard is that when the Turks ruled this area, they heard that the Messiah was supposed to enter the city through the Golden Gate. Not only did they wall it up, they even put a cemetery on the hillside, blocking access to the gate from outside the city. | |||||

re: .1 To follow up on .1. Elijah is a Kohen (priestly caste). A Kohen is forbidden from being in a cemetery or in a house with a dead body, etc. However, the one thing the Turks did not realize is that it is only the dead body of a Jew or a Jewishm cemetery that is problematic. yoseff |
