    Has anyone out there heard of a man from Nashville Tennessee who
    claims to have discovered the ark of the covenent. He says that
    he obtained an archaeological permit to open a cave that he believed
    was on the property bought by Jeremiah during the siege of Jerusalem.
    Some traditions assert that Jeremiah hid the ark the ark of mount
    Nebo or perhaps Sinai. Since the siege was already in progress it
    is unlikely that the ark would have been hidden outside of the the
    city. The man making these claims is Ron Wyatt of Nashville Tennessee.
    It seems to me that if this claim is true, word would get out. If
    this site was in the Arab sector of Jerusalem I can see how publicizing
    it would create a security problem for the Israeli government. Has
    anyone out there heard anything?

	We just had 100 (including our sr. pastor and 2 asst. pastors) people from our church return from 10 days in Israel. There were lots of great testimonies and exciting news, but there was 1 astounding one! The Israelites have been excavating under the Western wall for some time and there is now an exhibit called the "Rabbis' Tunnel." This tunnel takes you several feet into the Temple Mount onto an old buried street that was commonly used by people in the first century to enter the Temple courtyard. When several hundred feet into the tunnel, they are parallel to the original site of the Holy of Holies. It is commonly believed there that the Dome of the Tablets (north of the Dome of the Rock) is the original site of the Holy Place. While there the guide told our group that the Ark of the Covenant HAS BEEN FOUND DOWN THERE under the mountain!!! They have agreed to keep it in hiding with no public announcement in order to not affect current peace negotiations. Yet another reason to detest this false peace treaty, but the news is too great to be kept a secret! Mike

	The "Ancient Secrets of the Bible" TV show series (now available on video) featuring the Ark of the Covenant was aired as a CBS special on May 15, 1992. During this segment, Rabbi Shlomo Goren and Yehuda Getz said "on camera" that they know where it is; "off camera" they said they've actually seen it! Mike
