947.0. " On-line luach temidi search" by GAON::jem (Anacronym: an outdated acronym) Tue Jun 05 1990 05:04

Does anyone have access to such an animal? The immediate
need for a long-term (or permanent) Jewish-Gregorian
calendar is to establish Yartzeit dates (also for Bar-Mitzvas,
and other religious observances). Thanks.

Shalom Jem,

Earlier in this conference, there is a note with the source for a
Gregorian to Hebrew calendar conversion program. I have done some
work with it to make it run repeatedly (for eventual use in a Motif
Jewish Clock). If you want the modified sources send mail. It
shouldn't take too much work to reverse the algorithm.

947.2I have been playing around with this tooDECSIM::GROSSThe bug stops hereTue Jun 05 1990 19:349
There is a good version written in C available from the toolkit clearing
house. That version has conversions in both directions. I was trying to
come up with an Apple-2 Basic program and I couldn't get the algorithm
that came from the program in this conference to work.

The toolkit clearing house has a notes file. If you have trouble finding
it I can look it up from here.

947.3hard copy bookUSEM::ROSENZWEIGWed Jun 06 1990 23:295
    There is a hard copy book available that can be found at most
    Jewish Bookstores. If you are near Boston try the Isreal Bookstore
    in Brookline.

    The PC version is located in

    PWRVAX::MUSTANG:[SIMON.MSDOS]JCAL61.ZIP

    Download it to your PC and unzip. The documentation is very short and
    easy. If you do not have the PK(UN)ZIP, let me know, I'll make it
    available as well.

Where have you been trying to send? The best bet is KOBAL or 4GL. GVRIEL
is in a hidden area. CLTMAX is an ULTRIX node (as you might guess) and
just forwards to KOBAL.

947.8How to unzip Jewish CalendarHPSPWR::SIMONCuriosier and curiosier...Fri Jun 29 1990 21:468
    I response to a few requests to make unzip'per available:

    PWRVAX::MUSTANG:[SIMON.MSDOS]PKZIP101.EXE

    Download it to your PC and run. It is a self-extracting archive.
    Documentation included.
