Neturai Karta are alive and well and "happily" living in Jerusalem.
They are a segment of the population that ensures there is *never* a dull
moment in Jerusalem :-) :-).

"Ultra-orthodox" is more-or-less equivalent to what is known in Israel
as "haredim." The Neturei Karta are just a small group among the "haredim."
They're most notable for their virulent anti-Zionism. Many others classified
as "haredim" are not anti-Zionist.

Thanks for that info.
I presume then that the N.K. (hope nobody minds the abbreviation)
are among those who believe that the State of Israel cannot be
established until the Messiah comes?
If that is true, then by living in Israel, isn't that a de facto
acceptance of the existence of Israel?

My impression is that as far as they're concerned, the rule of the State of
Israel is no more legitimate than that of the Turks and British who ruled
the Land of Israel before them.
