No, not the kind you eat.... There's a Jewish Young Professional's Organization in Boston that has put on a party called the Matzoh Ball for the last few Christmas Eves. Does anybody have any information about it? I'm pretty sure that it's happening. I just need to know: - Where is it? - When is it? - How much does it cost? - How do we get tickets? Thanks for any leads you may have!! Sarah

Check the Boston "Jewish Advocate". I saw an add for it last weekend. I throw the paper out each Monday. Av

According to the ad mentioned in .1, the 3rd Annual Matzo Ball takes place on December 24th at 8pm at the CITI Club on Lansdowne St (in back of Fenway Park); other Matzo Balls will apparently also take place in New York and Boca Raton. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door, and members get in for free. The phone number listed for information and reservations is 800-729-0621. The Matzo Ball, again according to the ad, is a Ken O'Hurah Production. --Mr Topaz

Whew - talk about a prompt response! Thanks very much. All I've heard is that it gets very crowded (as in, a long line to get in), and that it's fun. Maybe I'll see a few of you there! Sarah

I called the number listed in .2. Advanced tickets can be ordered over the phone with a credit card, or purchased at the B&D Deli on Beacon Street in Brookline. They're available up until Dec. 22nd. 2500 people (Citi's capacity) are expected, and the line should be long. However... advanced tickets *don't* have to wait in line, so it looks like getting them is worth the bother. Sarah |
