| The lower East Side is a must. In particular, I'm fond of Russ and
Daughters for lox and other smoked fish; Gus's pickles (on Grand
near Essex, It was the set for "Crossing Delancy"), a bagel shop
on Essex and Grand and Khadouri's nuts & dried fruit (I don't have
the adress, but if you leave Gus's going away from Essex take the
first right, and the Khadouri's is the first or second store on
the right.
Can you bring me some pickles from Gus's? :-)

| re .3:
Guss Pickles (that's what the sign says) is on Essex Street, not Grand.
I noticed that they used glass jars in the movie to make it more "retro".
The real Guss has been using plastic containers for quite a few years now.

| Best bagels in NY H&H bagels in Manhattan. West Side on Broadway and
80th, East Side 2nd Avenue and 81st(?)
They are owned by non-jews, have a hashgacha, make great bagels. I'm
mentioning that they are owned by non-jews since they are open on
Shabbat.
I have friends across the country who usually ask for a dozen if I'm
visiting them and passing through NYC right before that.

I was just about to mention H&H. We usually bring back about three
dozen or so from each trip.
