| The only thing that I have seen so far is that all the witnesses
would not even talk to the police yesterday due to Yom Kippur...there
hasn't been any more info since then....maybe tonight...If so, I'll
keep the noters posted.

| This is from Channel 4 news oast night...
The two boys, Steven Weisburg and Joshua Fogel were leaving a Hillel
House at Brooklyn College on Sunday morning (I guess about 2-3:00
am) when a group of 20 or so people started calling names....Josh
apparently asked them what they said, and the beatings insued.
Joshua ran across the street to get some help while they were beating
up Steven, and then the group went after Joshua.
As of last night, one boy, Anthony Sorrentino, had given himself
up to the Brooklyn Police...he is 18 years old and does not have
a record at first indication. The police are putting him in a line-up
to see if witnesses can identify him...
In my opinion, this is a most disgusting atrocity....I'm almost
inclined to say something like "I can't believe this is still happening
in this day and age", but unfortunately, I can't be that naive...sad,
but true...

Racism existed for the entire known timespan covered by documented
history.
Why would you expect this to suddenly change?

Optimism is a value to be kept alive by all means. It doesn't mean that
every setback should be a surprise to you. Take the bad things
routinely and accurately, and genuinely enjoy any smallest indication
of progress.
