744.0. "Where can I get this book?" by YODA::NEWMAN () Mon Jul 31 1989 12:25

    Hi there!

    	I am looking for a book, but I can't seem to find it in any
    of the bookstores I have checked (Standard mall book stores). It
    is called "Conversations with Rabbi Small" and is authored by
    Harry Kemellman (sp?). I need to get hold of this book pretty quickly.
    Does anyone know where I can get it, or else does any of you kind
    fellow Bagel noters have a copy that I can beg, borrow, or buy?

    						THanks

    Since I'm not familiar with the book, I don't know if it's
    general interest or Judaic.

    If it's of general interest, you could try New England Mobile
    Book Fair in Newton.

    If it's Judaic, try the Israel Bookstore in Brookline.

    Sorry, I don't have the telephone numbers for the stores.

744.2I'll check if I still have a copyLBDUCK::SCHOELLERWho's on first?Mon Jul 31 1989 18:4315
Sam,

The book is by the author of a series of mysteries in which the sleuth is
Rabbi Small. They normally go by titles along the lines of _Tuesday_the_Rabbi_
_Went_Out_. This particular book is about a series of conversations between
Rabbi Small and a woman who comes to him asking to be converted to Judaism.

Sandy,

I have/had a copy of it. I picked it up at the Israel Bookstore in Brookline.
I am not sure if I still have it (I think I lent it out and never got it back).
I will if I find it. In the mean time, you should call the Israel Bookstore,
their number is listed.
