Does anyone remember South Haven, Michigan? It was like the Catskills with Jewish resorts that people would come from Chicago to visit.

My family used to have a summer house in Union Pier, Michigan: on the East side of the lake between Benton Harbor and Michigan City (Indiana). I vaguely recall seeing "restricted" signs in one of the neighboring communities (this was in the late 1940's). As far as I know, the area is now a middle-class Black summer-home area. Martin. |
