Temple Beth Sholom in Framingham, Mass is going to be offering a beginners hebrew course. The following is the description from their brochure: "ULPAN: CONVERSATIONAL HEBREW Planning a trip to Israel? This comprehensive course in conversational Hebrew prepares you to speak with Israelis in their native tongue. Designed for beginners, the class is taught entirely in Hebrew by native speakers. This class is offered in conjunction with Hebrew College, Brookline. Thursday evenings February 2 - May 25, 1989 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. 15 sessions $200.00 members $225.00 non-members" For anyone interested in this course, the phone number of Temple Beth Sholom is 508-877-2540. I initially stumbled across an announcement of this course in the December issue of the Jewish Reporter and was pleased to see that it was being offered in this area. The person I spoke with at Temple Beth Sholom was Nancy Bayer, and I found her to be extremely nice and quite helpful. She indicated that there had been a lot of interest in the course so I would recommend that anyone who is interested should call soon. --Janet Rothstein

Temple Beth Sholom in Framingham, Mass. is trying to get together
another beginner's to advanced beginners ULPAN course. It was
originally supposed to start last Thursday (i.e. 9/14); however
since they did not get enough people signed up, they decided to
postpone the start until this Thursday (9/21) to see if they can get
two more people to sign up. The class will consist of 15 sessions and
will meet from 7-10 on Thursday evenings. The cost is $200.00 for Temple
Beth Sholom memebers, and $225.00 for non-members. Anyone who is
