Fern, I just went through all 13 replies in Note 561, and I see
    no reference to Hannah.

    Is this an "in" joke?

| | Hannah was the mother of Samuel the prophet. See I Sam 1:1.

    Hi Alan-

No, it wasn't an "in" joke. It was response #14 when last I delved
into BAGELS; now it's gone. It said, correctly, that it's one of
the Rosh HaShanah readings... (Unless, of courrse, I *also* had
    too many pints... :~)

Okay, Fern, I accept that it *really* was there.

But, aren't you going to ask me about my Henway?

      Alan

| | I replied to this topic (or so I thought) and discovered I had accidently
responded to topic 561. I also discovered I couldn't delete my response
because I had "no privilege" to do so. So I sent MAIL to one of our moderators
asking him to delete it for me (by the way, thank you). After doing all this
I had no time left, but I knew there were plenty of BAGELS noters out there
capable of answering this question better than I.
This incident may have been my punishment for working too late on a Friday,
or perhaps I caused a hardware error by drooling into my keyboard after reading
the recipe for fish cakes.
My mother's name is Hannah; she hates it.
Dave
