465.0. "ANYONE IN PKO3?" by FDCV13::ROSENZWEIG () Fri May 13 1988 16:12

Is there anyone in this conference in pko3? I have a need to have
lunch with people in the building and talk about current or past
issues covered in this conference. It would be a refreshing break
from my work. Please contact me directly if you like at 223-9562.

I like the exchange of ideas in this conference - even though I
have not read through the whole conference (has anybody?).

I just heard David Grossman author of "The Yellow Wind" speak in
Sudbury and was moved to tears over his love of his land. I may
be beginning a tempest here by the mention of this controversial
book, but there is no arguing the pain that he expresses over the
strife in his homeland. His main thesis was that the two sides should
sit down and begin to "look each other in the eyes", that is, to
begin a dialogue. Otherwise, he predicts another war of vast
proportions that will affect Jews in the US as well as Jews world-wide.
I find myself unable to speak when I think of the situation there.

I don't want to identify myself with one interest (like the above)
because I was also moved to tears when I once visited Crown Heights
and felt the fervor for prayer in the women's section there and
the new kind of woman (career, educated) who are attracted to that
community. Of course, I stayed with the family described in the
book "Holy Days", also published in the New Yorker first like the
    above book.

    Stay in touch,

    R. Rosenzweig

    hi,

I'd like to take this opportunity to ask if there's anyone out there
in the Reading area as well (and Basingstoke?). As .0, it would be
nice to be able to meet for lunch and enjoy some of the socials.

I am another PKO3 participant. My name is Sue. I am at ext 4052.
I am often out of the facility, however, when I am here, I'd love
    to discuss this notes conference.
