To all you NOTES mavens out there, can you help me with my problem:

I have a batch job that runs ENOTES every morning at 6:00 A.M. It
is supposed to extract all UNSEEN notes from everything in class
ENOTES and put it in a temporary file. BAGELS is in class ENOTES.
Until the recent demise of the file I would get my BAGELS unseen
notes along with the other conferences I monitor on a regular basis.
Since the problem with the BAGELS file on HUMAN:: and its subsequent
move to RAWFSH:: and then IAGO:: I am not getting the BAGELS notes
in my temp file anymore. Yet when I go into BAGELS through NOTES,
it says No New Notes. I do a directory and there are new notes
there that I haven't read, yet they are marked as SEEN.

    Any answers?

    Thanks,

    Dick Rosenberg

Read the title of this file, or was it the notice.

For some reason, whenever a file is transfered to another
node, the pointers in your notebook are lost and don't get
updated until you explictly SET SEEN/BEFORE=Move_date
    	after opening the file.

That is not quite how it works. The move to RAWFSH screwed up your
SEEN list because it included a recovery to an old version of the file.
Your notebook contained SEEN pointers for stuff that doesn't exist yet.
This gets NOTES very confused.

By the way, thank you very very much for taking over
    	BAGELS on such short notice.
