            The Zamir Chorale of Boston presents:

            Israel: The Composers and Songwriters
	

    "Composers and Songwriters" will be presented in two unique concerts
    at Boston's elegant Jordan Hall.  The concerts will feature the best
    of Israeli popular and concert music for chorus. 


	The first concert will be Sunday, December 13, 1987, 7:30 pm

        The second concert will be Sunday, June 5, 1988, 7:30 pm


    Tickets are $12, $10, and $7.

    The subscription rate for both concerts are $20, $16, and $10.

	Honey from the Rock Celebrate Israel's 40th anniversary with the Zamir Chorale of Boston. Israel: The Composers and Songwriters Presented under the patronage of Itzhak Oren, Consul General of the State of Israel, the program offers an evening of Israel's best-loved melodies sung by the choir that has gained national acclaim for its dynamic presentations of Jewish music. [For a sample of Zamir's music listen to Boston's WCRB (102.5 FM) on Sunday, May 29th at 2 PM.] The concert is Sunday, June 5, 1988, 7:30 PM at the New England Convervatory's Jordan Hall. Tickets are $12, $10, and $7 and are available at Bostix, the Israel Bookshop, the Jordan Hall box office, and by phone at 734-8742. Directions to Jordan Hall: Jordan Hall is a part of the New England Conservatory, 290 Huntington Avenue, Boston. Jordan Hall is actually on Gainsboro Street just off Huntington Avenue. You can take the T (green line - get off at the Symphony or Northeastern stops or the orange line). Parking can be difficult.

	The Zamir Chorale of Boston is now auditioning for new members. This is the 20th season for the Zamir Chorale of Boston and it will be an exciting one. Highlights include a Chanukah concert with the Klezmer Conservatory Band, a concert in LA, CA (we received funding for a chamber group of 20 to fly to LA and perform there), several interfaith concerts, and other concerts around the Boston area. If you are interested, please attend one of our open rehearsals and call 734-8742 for more information.

	Lights! A Chanukah Concert The Zamir Chorale and the Klezmer Conservatory Band are performing on December 3rd at 8 pm. You can hear a concert preview LIVE on December 1st (this Thursday) on WGBH radio 89.7 FM at 7 pm. 	Bagelers in the LA-area will have an opportunity to hear the Zamir Chorale or Boston this weekend. 	There will be a special ZAMIR CHORALE concert on 04June at 7:30. What is special about it is that it will be comprised of the past audiences selected favorites from the past 20 years. Also, in addition to the regular chorale, there will be numbers featuring an alumni chorale, celebrating this anniversary. Location - Jordon Hall of the New England Conservatory of Music off Huntington Ave in Boston. That's all I know about it! I'm going for sure - don't miss this evening of wonderful entertainment. Waky
