Shalom Aryeh,
I have obtained a copy of VWS for my VAXstation which supports right-to-
left mode and Hebrew character set. It is mentioned in a note above
(308?). I am still waiting on the field-test right-to-left TPU.
I am capable of putting together relatively simple stuff using the
DCL CREATE command. This is not optimal. I can certainly notes
but writing is difficult.

Gavriel

A Hebrew ROM set for the Rainbow is available, as well as a Hebrew
font ROM for the LA-50. Some time ago, I went as far as installing
these ROMs, getting the system to work (no mean feat), marking up my
LK-201 with little Hebrew stickers and printing out the complete
Tamlil (Hebrew word processor) user's manual.
I then discovered that I could no longer type in Hebrew... I then
further discovered that BOOT (a Rainbow utility) refuses to work
with the Hebrew ROM set... That was it... I continued to correspond
with friends in English...
So, should I now install the whole thing back in? How about writing
in Hebrew, but using the English character set phonetically? This
way, no one will be caught misspelling.
Lemashal, lo kol cakh kashe likro shura zo, nakhon?
Nitztarekh lehaskim al kama standartim. Ledugma, 'kh'
metsayen et haot 'khet' ve 'tz' mtsayen 'tsadik'.
(For instance, it's not too difficult to read this line, true? We'll
have to agree on a few standards. For example, 'kh' will designate
the letter 'khet' and 'tz' will designate 'tsadik').

| Hi Gavriel,
Must be nice to have your own system, I am but a VT100 appendage
tied in to a large vaxcluster, and the system mangler would definitely
frown if I tried to install something other than English on his
Vax. I could try to speak to you phonetically (sp?) ??
L'ehit,
Aryeh.
